TwLV Stix Tour

There's something innately human about the drive to compete.

Our drive to compete is a large part of who we are; we cannot simply turn it off. The Twlv Stix Tour has targeted mid-handicap / single-digit handicap male golfers that want to satisfy these innate cravings for healthy competition.

The Twlv Stix Tour provides a unique opportunity for real amateur players to challenge themselves and truly put their practice hours into action. All participants take this competitive spirit seriously without losing touch that things can be fun while attempting to bring out everyone's best game.

It's not just about competing with friends but also embracing the drive for excellence by testing your limits. Through competition may come success—an uplifting feeling that can only occur when something is truly at stake!

I am a real amateur, not one of those about to go pro amateurs or played Div 1 amateurs, but a REAL amateur. I am good, but not great. I can score low one round and struggle for bogey golf the next. I enjoy side games more than I should. I have a strong desire to be better, but only hit the range once and awhile. I like healthy competition because only then can specific scenarios play out, and it is for those scenarios that I wanted to start the Twlv Stix Tour.

I am an athlete, I grew up playing higher level competition, but when my career ended, I was lost. I didn't know where I could put all the energy that came with years of routine. I attempted to find an outlet in my work, recreation, and golf. My golf became more than a hobby, and yet still something was missing. What was missing was competition, a purpose. I want to play great golf against others who aspire to play great golf. I needed to create a platform that would provide the drive to be more focused, diligent, and purposeful with my golf-related time.

I play with a great group of guys that love the game and see it as a reason to be social. I play with a great group of guys much better than me, and I always struggle to play well because of my nerves. It seemed there was a gap, a playing environment that I was looking for, something to help raise my game and boost my playing confidence. So I set out to solve that; I agreed that two times a month, I would attempt to compete and attempt to win against others. Competing highlights my weaknesses, and being in more pressure golf situations will help me to improve.

The Twlv Stix Tour is a membership to a community of golf enthusiasts looking for something more than a social round of golf. A place you can focus your competitive energy, that energy to improve, a place for relatively good golfers to compete against each other. You don't have to be a pro or a scratch golfer to play for a tour purse. Sometimes we play great golf; let's make it mean something.
