Twlv Stix Rules:
Please re-read all the Twlv Stix Rules. Here is a reminder on how we play OB and Lost Balls.
Rule 11 - If your ball is 100% out of bounds (over a boundary fence, across a road, white stakes, etc.) you must take a
two-stroke penalty and drop in the fairway, perpendicular to where the ball is
estimated to have gone out of bounds. No closer to the hole.
You will be lying 3, hitting 4 from the fairway.
No provisional balls – Provisional shots slow down play, and we will use this local
rule for OB balls only.
Rule 12 -
If a ball is lost in the rough, trees, or anywhere in bounds, it is treated like it went into a red-staked penalty area.
The player must take a one-stroke penalty and drop within two club lengths of where the ball is estimated to have come to rest, no closer to the hole.

The pace of play for 18 holes is 4 hours and 30 minutes.
Groups will be given a warning and then if pace is not improved may be penalized or Player Assistant has authority to direct you to pick up your ball and go to the next tee if your group falls behind one complete hole. Beware, they came down on us hard last year so make sure to keep up with the group ahead of you.

Slow Play Policy
All Players must attempt to keep up with the expected pace of play (EPP) from the host course. Penticton is 4 hours and 30 min
We expect to play holes in 15 min / hole at Penticton
Ways to Speed up Pace of Play
Max score
Quadruple bogey is our max. 4 over par. If you reach this score pick up your ball wherever you are. Do not complete hole if you reach this score.
Limit Time Searching for Balls
You have 3 min to look for your ball. This only applies if you are on time. If you are behind pace of play this time must be shortened or non-existent.
Lost ball off tee
We do not go back to the tee box to re-tee if ball is lost or hit OB.
Use Twlv Stix Rules 11 & 12
Ready Golf
Walk to your ball as soon as possible, so that you can choose your club and think about the shot in advance.
When a ball is lost, hit your shot first and then help look for the lost ball.
Move Early. Grab a club and walk down the sides of the fairway to reach your ball and then approach it from the centre.
Never play in a caravan, moving in a group from ball to ball.
When on the green, line up your putt before it is your turn. Last Season we took way to long on the greens.
Penalty of Slow Play
The tour is in its early years and it is crucial that we have a good reputation with the courses. Until we have the ability to rent out the entire course we are at the mercy of pace of play.
Please respect pace of play, if you choose not to please be aware of the penalties below:
Warning
If you are behind the EPP, then you will be given a warning by the marshals or by an offical. At this time it is expected that you will attempt to pick up the pace and close the gap. You should always get a warning and a chance to catch up.
Skip a hole
If you are behind the group ahead of you (assuming you are the same size) you may be asked to skip a hole. If this happens then everyone in the group will receive a double bogey for the hole. If the group ahead of you is fast but you are under the EPP then you should NOT be asked to pick up, You must also be behind the EEP.
Strokes Added to final score
If there are no Marshalls out or people monitoring the course then as a gauge, you must not fall back more then 20 min from the front group and must come in under 4.5 hours. We will only start assessing penalties if your time is over 4.5 hours AND you post the score more than 20 minutes after the group in front of you.
Repeat Offenders
If you are seen to be a problem with slow play you will be issues a “Tour Warning”. Slow Players may not know they are slow players. If there is another issue or there is a lack of respect of pace of play, the tour has the right to remove you from the tour.
