Find My Fourth ("we," "our," or "us") is a mobile application that connects golfers for tee times and social play. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our app.

By creating an account or using Find My Fourth, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

When you create an account and use Find My Fourth, you may provide us with:

Golf handicap and playing preferences
Vibe profile selections (player personality archetype)
Game scheduling details (course, date, time, preferences)

When you use the app, we may automatically collect:

Device information (device type, operating system, unique device identifiers)
Location data (with your permission, to help find nearby courses and golfers)
Usage data (features used, interactions, session duration)
Crash reports and performance data

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Create and manage your account
Match you with compatible golfers based on your preferences and Vibe profile
Facilitate game scheduling and coordination
Send notifications about games, matches, and app activity
Maintain our Trust System to promote a positive community experience
Improve app performance, features, and user experience
Communicate important updates about the app or this policy

Data Storage and Security

Find My Fourth uses Google Firebase as its backend infrastructure. Your data is stored securely on Firebase servers, which employ industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We implement Firebase security rules to restrict data access to authorized users only.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

Your profile information (name, photo, handicap, Vibe archetype) is visible to other Find My Fourth users as part of the app's core matchmaking and social functionality.

We may share limited data with:

Google Firebase — for authentication, data storage, cloud functions, and analytics
Apple and Google — for app distribution via the App Store and Google Play
Law enforcement or government authorities — if required by law or to protect the safety of our users

Location Data

Find My Fourth may request access to your device's location to help you find nearby golf courses and golfers. Location access is optional and can be revoked at any time through your device settings. We do not continuously track your location in the background.

Your approximate home location is used to show you nearby games and players. Other registered users of Find My Fourth may see your general area for matchmaking purposes. This location data is used solely to enable features such as nearby game discovery and is not shared with third parties.

Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

Access and update your personal information through your profile settings
Delete your account and associated data at any time from within the app
Opt out of non-essential notifications through the app's notification settings
Revoke location permissions through your device settings
Request a copy of your data by contacting us

When you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our active systems. Some data may be retained in backups for a limited period before being permanently deleted.

Children's Privacy

Find My Fourth is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will take steps to delete their account and associated data.
